The Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative and its partners the City of Lincoln City and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians are celebrating July 4th 2023 with a giant 100 yard long “Interdependence Day” themed sand graphic along the shores of the Cascade Head Biosphere Region and Marine Reserve. This years image will be a Giant Pacific Octopus holding 8 images of our connection with the sea in its arms, scribed on the sands in front of the Chinook Winds Casino Resort starting at 8:00 AM. This year the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative and its volunteer rakers will be offering a birds eye view of the Octopus using a drone that will be available on social media to anyone with a smart phone or tablet by reading a handy QR code or by logging onto CascadeHead.org.
